Sir William McCordle and his wife Lady Sylvia gather relations and friends for a shooting party. But all is not as it seems. The bejewelled guests and the servants that wait on them all have hidden issues which become apparent bit by bit. The film is a moving portrait of events that bridge generations and culminate in a murder.
