This friendly group focuses on exploring the world of Shakespeare through the study of individual plays and sonnets, not as an academic course but an occasion to enjoy our greatest writer at any level we choose.

The Group is starting a new Shakespeare play in September. We will be exploring 'The Tempest'

The first meeting after the summer break will take place on Tuesday 8th of September at 2.00 pm.

You will need a copy of the play currently being studied. There are many editions, but check that you have one which includes line numbers, as these are very helpful.

You do not need to read the play in advance or have any knowledge of Shakespeare. We are not a drama group, but we will be looking at the play in some detail. It is great if you want to read aloud, but it is completely up to you.  

We are a very friendly group who enjoy discussing Shakespeare and his world. We'll be really pleased if you would like to join us.
