Monday walks are local and leisurely, and are around 4 miles over easy terrain.

Parbold Circular

September Walk Monday 21st September 2026. Start - 1.30pm

We will start at Our Lady and All Saints Church, and initially walk through part of Parbold village. We will cross the railway line and onto the Leeds Liverpool canal, and eventually up to Wood Lane. Depending on the weather we may also visit the Commonwealth War Graves. We will have a short stop about halfway - bring your own flask/drink.

Mainly flat footpaths, with one stretch of uneven ground, slightly uphill. 3.5 miles.

Weather forecast: Dry, light cloud and a gentle breeze 19c.

Parking and Start Point: Our Lady and All Saints RC Church

Lancaster Lane: WN8 2HS .  1.30pm start

Directions: From Ormskirk take the A59 towards Burscough, turn right onto Square Lane A5209 follow the road to Newburgh and then Parbold. Stay on the A5209, over the canal bridge (traffic lights) and then take the second turning on the left, Lancaster Lane B5246, the Church is on the left side.

No need to book on these walks - just turn up on the day.
